Once again Peerless Hospital & B K Roy Foundation with active support from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and West Bengal Chapter of Association of Physicians of India will be hosting the sixth International conference on advanced clinical medicine on the 20th and 21st of December 2019, at ITC Sonar, Kolkata. The past conferences have been attended by large number of delegates and this has taken the shape of an annual event that is awaited by many. The conference has always tried to address the core developments in general internal medicine which has direct implication on practice of sub specialties in clinical medicine. The contents are meticulously selected so that they are relevant to the practitioners. As recent advances are highlighted, emphasis is also laid on how clinical eye should be sharpened to go back to basics.
Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh has been a seat of learning for over 300 years and many illustrious clinicians have been associated with the rich history and heritage of the college. The college jointly hosting this very important conference is a matter of great pride and lays the route to transfer knowledge and enhance clinical skills of both trainee and established clinicians.
Like the past conferences, there will be eminent international and national speakers who will give lectures on selected topics. Prof Derek Bell OBE, President of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh has kindly agreed to be present on both days and will deliver the "Shyamal Sen Memorial Oration".
We expect participants from different parts of India and neighbouring countries. Since the conference intends to enhance academic knowledge, wide participation from all will inspire us to continue to organize future conferences.
